On our safari you will be able to sketch the wild animals on the hoof and Gaelle will share her skills in drawing, painting in watercolours and acrylics and the use of pastels and alternative mediums.

Whenever in a perfect location to paint we will venture out in the early light, where sitting comfortably in peace and tranquility, surrounded by the flora and fauna of Africa, Gaelle will encourage exploring different mediums expressing all that you see.

We won’t paint every day. We’re on Safari !

You will learn how to produce working drawings and quick pen and wash sketches to use later to produce finished art works and how to develop a painting from the sketch in the medium of your choice.

Lessons devoted to figurative painting will take place in a Maasai manyatta amid the vivid colours evident in their dress and adornment.

We will have regular reviews of progress made and comments are encouraged by fellow artists on this vacation. We will supply boards, a variety of paper and sketching pencils. After booking your holiday you will receive a list of suggested painting materials and equipment to bring with you and be inspired . . . . .
